The mistake that I made on the Integrals worksheet was when we had to work out the calculus problems. When we needed to put in the numbers for x, I multiplied both numbers together and multiplies that number to the exponent that was in the equation. I learned from this mistake because I later realized that my numbers were becoming very large and I asked Adam what I was doing wrong. He told me that I needed to multiply x to the exponent and then multiply that number by the first. I grew from this because for the second problem we needed to solve, it didn't take me as long.
When we worked on our rocket thrust calculations, I made the mistake of typing the frame numbers incorrectly. We had to type the frames in order from zero to wherever it stopped and mine stopped at fifty six. On our rocket thrust papers where we wrote down the thrust and frame per 1/30 of a second, the frames went to twenty nine and the thirtieth one started back at zero. I realized later on that we needed to increase the numbers by one each time because we didn't write down the seconds. I learned from this mistake by going back and checking my work because the data on the graph wasn't correct. I grew from this mistake because it helped me graph my data correctly in physics.
We were given a math worksheet that asked for us to put the planets, their orbits, and the distance from the sun into scientific notation. I made a mistake on this worksheet because I didn't show my work. I realized that when you don't show your work you can forget how you solved something and it can be hard to remember. There wasn't much room on the paper but I managed to make space and write out how I figured it out. After I finished writing out how I solved the problems, it helped me remember the correct way to solve the problems.
The mistake I made was that I didn't show my work and I learned from this mistake because I had to turn it in two times to realize how I was supposed to show my work. I grew from this because now I know to show my work because it can help me remember how I solved something and it can remind me about how something is supposed to be solved. |
