We were given a math worksheet that asked for us to put the planets, their orbits, and the distance from the sun into scientific notation. I made a mistake on this worksheet because I didn't show my work. I realized that when you don't show your work you can forget how you solved something and it can be hard to remember. There wasn't much room on the paper but I managed to make space and write out how I figured it out. After I finished writing out how I solved the problems, it helped me remember the correct way to solve the problems.
The mistake I made was that I didn't show my work and I learned from this mistake because I had to turn it in two times to realize how I was supposed to show my work. I grew from this because now I know to show my work because it can help me remember how I solved something and it can remind me about how something is supposed to be solved.
