I felt like a new kid just like everyone else on the first day of school even though I went to middle school at High Tech Middle for the past three years. I saw some familiar faces but most of them were brand new and I only knew a few names.
On the first day of school Mr. Ko decided to give us a challenge, the challenge was to see how many people in the class we could name. He each gave us a white piece of paper that had a seating chart printed on it, but no names, just blank tables. He explained to us that we had to try and write everyone's name on the seat that they were sitting in on the paper. I had trouble remembering people's names and he told us to guess the names of people we weren't sure about. That was challenging for me because I just wanted to leave them all blank and I couldn't think of a random because I knew that it would be so different from their actual name.
The first day that we tried this name challenge, I got 9 mistakes, the second day that we did this, I got 0 mistakes and I realized then, that making mistakes really do help you learn and grow because I was given this challenging task with so many mistakes on my first attempt but the day after I was proud to say that I got no mistakes at all.
